Shipping Costs
Courier (Home Delivery)
- Free delivery on orders over R1,500
- R95 delivery fee on orders under R1,500
Click & Collect (Selected Stores)
- Free on orders over R500 (up to 20kg). Furniture items do not qualify for Click & Collect
- R75 fee on orders under R500
- Please allow 5 to 7 working days for Click & Collect orders
Shipping Lead Times
Please allow 5 to 7 working days for delivery. Orders placed over a weekend will begin processing on the following Monday.
Courier Delivery
All courier deliveries are handled by reputable courier companies. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking updates via email.
Click & Collect
Click & Collect orders are shipped to your chosen Whitehouse or Continental Linen store. You will receive tracking updates once your order has been dispatched.
Returns and Refunds - Products Bought Online
- Items purchased online may be returned to any Whitehouse or Continental Linen store in South Africa within 30 days of the shipping date. Any stock quantity discrepancies must be reported within 30 days.
- If you prefer not to return items in store, goods may be couriered back to our online warehouse. A return courier fee will apply and will either be payable via a payment link or deducted from your refund. For exchanges, a collection fee and re-delivery fee (if the order is under the free shipping threshold) will apply. Email hello@bedbathhome.co.za for assistance.
- Please have your proof of purchase or order confirmation available.
- Goods must be unused and in their original packaging.
- On approval by management, refunds will be processed to the original payment method. The refund amount will exclude any delivery charges.
- Refunds are processed by the online team and will be received within 7 to 10 working days from the date the item is returned to our warehouse.
- Management reserves the right to refuse a refund or exchange if the above conditions are not met. For hygiene reasons, duvet inners, pillows, mattress protectors and pillow protectors may not be eligible for return or exchange unless they are unused and in their original condition, subject to inspection.
Defective Products
- Defective products cannot be refunded where recommended wash care instructions have not been followed, as determined by management.
- Items returned for quality or sizing issues may require inspection and approval by management before any credit or refund is processed.
- To allow for industry-accepted shrinkage, certain goods are manufactured oversized and may vary by 2 to 5% from the stated size after washing.
Exclusions
We reserve the right not to replace or refund products that have been used and are not found to be defective, as determined by management.
Furniture Delivery and Assembly
Delivery
- Free delivery on orders over R1,500 (nationwide)
- R95 delivery fee on orders under R1,500
- Orders ship from our Cape Town warehouse and/or directly from suppliers. Items may arrive separately.
Lead Times
- In-stock products (courier): 5 to 7 working days
- In-stock products (assembly, Gauteng and Cape Town): 5 to 10 working days
- In-stock products (assembly, Durban and Pietermaritzburg): Lead time applies from the date of courier delivery
- Special order products (imported to order): 6 to 12 weeks
All lead times are in business days and exclude weekends and public holidays. Deliveries outside main city centres may take additional time. Delivery hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Free Assembly
Free assembly is available in Gauteng and Cape Town only. Assembly is not available on selected clearance sale items. Assembly takes place on weekdays only (excluding weekends and public holidays).
For furniture orders outside Gauteng and Cape Town, items will be delivered flatpack by courier for self-assembly.
Preparing Your Room
Please ensure the room where furniture will be delivered is cleared and easily accessible. If the room is not accessible, delivery will be made to the nearest accessible point, or an additional fee may be charged by the delivery team.
Shipping Address
Deliveries are made to the shipping address provided at checkout. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the address is correct when placing the order. We are unable to accept responsibility for address changes made after the order is placed, or for any resulting losses, damages or delays.
Inspection on Delivery
All deliveries must be inspected on arrival. Report any shortages or damage within 24 hours. Any other issues, including workmanship flaws, must be reported within 7 days.
We cannot accept responsibility for:
- Goods ordered incorrectly
- Goods that are unsuitable for the customer's intended use, unless the intended use was communicated to us at the time of purchase
- Goods damaged after delivery
Inspection on Assembly
All assembly must take place in the room where the furniture will be used. Assembled items must be inspected in the presence of the assembly team and any damage reported immediately.
We cannot accept responsibility for damage not reported to the assembly team on site at the time of assembly.
If you move your furniture in future, please disassemble any knockdown items before moving to avoid damage.
Furniture Returns
- Flat-pack items that have been fully or partially assembled cannot be returned, as assembly compromises the packaging and component condition.
- Check dimensions and plan your room layout before beginning assembly.
- Inspect all panels for damage before assembly. Contact us immediately if any parts are damaged.
- You may return your order within 7 days of delivery.
- Returns are subject to a return shipping fee and a 10% return handling fee. Refunds will be processed within 14 to 21 days, less the shipping and handling fee.

- All returns require pre-approval on a case-by-case basis.
- Furniture products cannot be returned to Whitehouse or Continental Linen stores.
- Products must be in their original condition, unassembled, unused and in their original packaging.
- If your order has already been dispatched, you may return the items in accordance with this policy.
Storage
Orders are dispatched once payment is received and products are in stock. Standard delivery and assembly lead times apply.
Orders may not be stored at our warehouses or with the courier company. If a customer requests the courier to delay delivery beyond the standard shipping times, this is at the customer's sole risk. We will not be liable for any losses or damages resulting from such an arrangement, and the 7-day returns period will begin from the date of the delayed delivery arrangement.
Assembly should not be delayed beyond the 5 to 10 working day lead time. If a customer requests a delay, this is at the customer's sole risk. We will not be liable for any losses or damages, and the 7-day returns period will begin from the date of the delay arrangement.
