When it comes to choosing your linen and bedding, it's important to understand some of the basics that will help you make better decisions about which linen and bedding to buy. If you don't understand Thread Count, feel free to read our Guide here.
At Bed Bath Home, our linen is available in durable polypercale, 100% cotton, and high thread count Egyptian Cotton. We stock a wide range of both percale and sateen linen, to suit your individual preference.
Here's how the different materials stack up:
Polypercale |
Percale is the crisp, durable plain weave fabric typically used in bed sheets. Our polypercale is a blend of cotton and polyester and has a thread count of 180 threads per inch.
|
Cotton |
Our 100% Cotton sheets are soft, absorbent and breathable. Cotton is a natural fibre which is a good conductor of heat, meaning that it will keep you cool in summer and warmer in winter.
|
Sateen |
Sateen is a cotton based cloth made with a satin weave, which produces a soft luxurious feel. Satin weaves are generally not as tightly weaved as percale sheets which means that Sateen can be slightly less durable than other types of material, but the feel is much softer on a Sateen sheet than other types.
